Hush arrives in VALORANT: her redirected utility can catch teammates too

Patch 13.09 introduces Hush’s telekinesis, redirectable projectiles and aerial movement. Her utility descriptions repeatedly say “all players”—not just enemies.

Hush is now in VALORANT, with utility that can change direction after it is thrown. Riot introduced the agent in patch 13.09 on October 27, giving her a longer-range interaction passive, two redirectable projectiles, an aerial movement ability and an ultimate that levitates players.

The wording of those abilities matters: the pull, flash and ultimate describe effects on all players, not only opponents. Teammate positioning belongs in the setup as much as the enemy’s position.

Telekinesis reaches weapons, the Spike and switches

Hush’s Telekinesis passive lets her pick up weapons, collect the Spike when on the attacking side, and interact with switches from an increased range. Riot does not give that range a numeric value in the patch notes.

That attacker-side condition applies to the Spike pickup. It is not a claim that Hush can remotely plant or defuse it.

Displacement and Flashbulb can be redirected

For Displacement, fire throws the utility; alternate fire prepares it instead. Reactivating directs it toward the crosshair. It explodes on a surface or after a delay, pulling players toward its centre. A player is concussed if that pull makes them collide with a surface or another player. Displacement resets every two kills.

The collision condition is important: Riot separates being pulled from receiving the concuss effect. The description does not promise a concuss on every target merely inside the pull.

Flashbulb uses the same throw, prepare and redirect inputs. It explodes on a surface or after a delay and flashes players who are looking at it. Changing its direction gives Hush another way to set up where that detonation happens, but the looking-at-it condition still governs the flash.

Flow creates an anchor; Suspension lifts players

Flow instantly creates an anchor. If Hush is airborne, she briefly levitates in place before propelling toward it after a delay.

For Suspension, prepare the ultimate, fire it forward and steer with the crosshair. Reactivate—or press fire again—to detonate it and levitate players. As with Displacement, the notes say all players, so the effect should not be planned as an enemy-only zone.

Early Performance Scores may move around

Riot says Hush is the first new agent since Performance Score launched and warns that her scores may be uneven in the first few days while it tunes how good utility use is measured. That makes an early score a poor basis for a firm verdict on the value of a new Hush setup.
