Clove moves less quickly after Pick-me-up in VALORANT patch 13.09, and opponents now receive an ultimate point and a signature refresh point for killing them after Not Dead Yet. Those are gameplay changes, not just part of the patch’s new buff labels.
Riot’s October 27 notes group the changes with a wider cleanup of ability descriptions. That makes it worth separating the new vocabulary from the actual reduction to Clove’s movement bonus.
Pick-me-up drops from 15% to 10%
The bonus movement speed from Pick-me-up falls from 15% to 10%. That is a reduction of five percentage points in the bonus, not a five-percent reduction to Clove’s total movement speed.
Riot says Clove’s old value was higher than comparable movement-speed abilities. The patch brings it closer to the roster’s other values while preserving the ability’s movement bonus.
Pick-me-up now displays Haste as an applied buff. Because that new buff adds a timer bar, Riot has removed the previous timer bar to avoid showing redundant information. The label and HUD cleanup accompany the numerical change; they do not replace it.
Killing a revived Clove now gives progress
After Clove casts Not Dead Yet, the player who kills them now receives one ultimate point and one signature refresh point.
That matters when evaluating the cost of a failed resurrection. An opponent who deals with the returning Clove receives ability progress as well as the elimination. A signature refresh point is progress toward an ability’s refresh, not a promise that every signature ability immediately becomes available.
Haste is not Combat Stim
Patch 13.09 makes Haste the official name for an increased-movement-speed buff. Combat Stim refers to increased fire rate, equip speed, reload speed and recovery speed.
Riot applies the Haste label across several abilities, including Brimstone’s Stim Beacon and Neon’s High Gear or Overdrive. A Haste indicator therefore should not be read as evidence that all of Combat Stim’s weapon-handling benefits are active too. The labels distinguish which effect a player has received or refreshed.
