Rocket League’s One Piece limited-time event begins on November 1, with Luffy’s Straw Hat Topper available for scoring a hat trick in an Online Match. Other challenges reward a crew-themed Boost, a Going Merry Trail, an Antenna and two Player Banners.
The event runs from November 1 at 9 AM Pacific Time to November 23 at 9 AM Pacific Time. Both dates fall in PST: 17:00 UTC, or 18:00 in Stockholm. It is still upcoming as of October 30.
What you can earn through play
Psyonix names three challenge rewards and the actions tied to them:
- Luffy’s Straw Hat Topper: score a hat trick in an Online Match.
- Straw Hat Crew Boost: record centers and clears.
- Going Merry Sea Trail: collect points in Online Matches.
The announcement does not give the required totals for centers, clears or points. The in-game challenge list will be the place to check those thresholds when the event opens.
A One Piece Antenna and two Player Banners are also challenge rewards. Playing Online Matches can earn up to five Treasure Chests; the announcement does not list their contents or drop odds.
Shop items are separate from the challenge rewards
Starting November 1, the shop will offer Luffy and Going Merry Decals for Octane and Fennec, Wheels and the High Tides Goal Explosion. The Mercedes-AMG G 63 arrives with One Piece Decals on November 7.
Those shop items are not the same as the rewards listed under event challenges. Psyonix has not included prices in this announcement.
Do not mix up the two games’ start times
Fortnite’s Treasure Hunters announcement sets its first Captain’s Day for 9 AM Eastern on November 1. Rocket League uses 9 AM Pacific—three hours later.
For players moving between the games, that means 14:00 UTC for Fortnite’s first Captain’s Day and 17:00 UTC for Rocket League’s One Piece event. The clocks in both US zones move back earlier that morning; using the previous day’s daylight-saving offset would put either start an hour early.
