Kayle and Zaahen get shorter early cooldowns in League 26.22, not faster max-rank Qs

Both champions lose two seconds from their rank-one Q cooldown. Kayle also gets Divine Judgment back sooner at its first two ranks.

League of Legends patch 26.22 cuts two seconds from Kayle’s and Zaahen’s rank-one Q cooldowns, but leaves both abilities’ max-rank cooldowns unchanged. The buffs concentrate on the earlier ranks, with Kayle also receiving a shorter wait between her first two ranks of Divine Judgment.

Riot frames Kayle’s changes as help for early laning and Zaahen’s as more room for early skirmishing. Neither Q change is a flat two-second reduction at every rank.

Kayle: earlier Radiant Blast and Divine Judgment casts

Radiant Blast (Q) changes from 12 / 11 / 10 / 9 / 8 seconds to 10 / 9.5 / 9 / 8.5 / 8 seconds. The reductions are two seconds at rank one, then 1.5, one and half a second, with no change at rank five.

Divine Judgment (R) changes from 160 / 120 / 80 seconds to 140 / 110 / 80 seconds. That removes 20 seconds from the first rank and ten from the second; the final rank remains at 80 seconds.

These are the cooldown values listed in the patch notes, before any build-specific ability-haste calculation. The update does not list extra damage for either spell.

Zaahen: the largest change is before Q is fully ranked

The Darkin Glaive (Q) changes from 10 / 9 / 8 / 7 / 6 seconds to 8 / 7.5 / 7 / 6.5 / 6 seconds. Its rank-by-rank reductions match Kayle’s Q: two seconds, 1.5 seconds, one second, half a second, then zero.

Riot says Zaahen is already delivering on his scaling, but needs more to do in lane. The unchanged six-second final-rank cooldown makes that emphasis concrete: the new casting window is widest while the ability still has fewer points invested.
