Corki and Rumble both get stronger ultimates in League of Legends patch 26.22, but the buffs work differently. Corki’s Missile Barrage gains base damage and bonus attack-damage scaling; Rumble’s Equalizer gains ability-power scaling without a listed increase to its base damage.
With Worlds in its knockout stage, Riot is already adjusting the wider patch cycle. In the November 3 patch notes, Riot links both changes to their professional-play tuning. It says Corki was treated cautiously going into Worlds and now has room for more power. For Rumble, Riot expects this buff to help average players more than professionals when pro play catches up with the patch cycle.
Corki gains damage even without more items
A standard Missile Barrage rocket changes from 90/170/250 to 100/190/280 base damage, with its bonus-AD ratio rising from 85% to 90%. The three values correspond to the ultimate’s three ranks.
The Big One changes from 180/340/500 to 200/380/560, and from 170% to 180% bonus AD. Its listed damage remains twice that of a standard rocket at the same rank and bonus AD.
With 100 bonus AD, for example, a rank-two standard rocket goes from 255 to 280 listed damage before mitigation. The Big One at that rank goes from 510 to 560. The gain is already present in the base damage, then increases as Corki builds more bonus AD.
Rumble gains more from AP—and from keeping enemies in the fire
The Equalizer keeps its listed 120/200/280 base damage per second. The change is to the AP ratio: 35% to 40% per second. Riot also lists the maximum AP ratio rising from 175% to 200%.
At 200 AP, that is 10 extra listed damage per second, or 50 extra over the full damage duration, before mitigation. A target leaving the burning area early takes less of that additional damage; the maximum ratio is not a single impact hit.
