Hubris now scales differently for ranged champions, while Gluttonous Greaves costs more

League patch 26.21 cuts Hubris’s ranged bonus and stack growth, strengthens its melee base bonus and adds 100 gold to Gluttonous Greaves.

League of Legends patch 26.21 split Hubris’s bonus attack damage between melee and ranged users, while raising Gluttonous Greaves from 1,000 to 1,100 gold. Riot’s stated target is the value ranged champions were getting from the two items.

These are live-game changes from 26.21, not changes to Worlds 2026. Riot’s 26.20 notes identify that earlier version as the Worlds patch.

Hubris: the same stacks no longer mean the same bonus

The 26.21 item notes describe Hubris as weak for melee champions but too strong for ranged users. Riot has separated both its base bonus and its per-stack bonus:

Hubris bonus AD component Before 26.21 Melee in 26.21 Ranged in 26.21
Base bonus attack damage 12 15 10
Bonus attack damage per stack 3 3 2

Those are the stacking effect’s bonus-AD values, not a replacement for the item’s entire attack-damage stat line.

At ten stacks, the listed base-plus-stack bonus works out to 42 AD under the old values, 45 AD for a melee user and 30 AD for a ranged user. That puts the ranged example 12 AD below the old formula, while the melee example gains 3 AD. Each additional stack widens the ranged gap by another point of AD.

The practical change is not merely a smaller starting bonus for ranged users. Their stack growth is also lower, so an old guide’s stack-to-AD calculation will overstate the updated reward.

Gluttonous Greaves: a later purchase, not a listed stack nerf

Gluttonous Greaves now costs 1,100 gold, up 100 gold, or 10%. Riot says the boots were giving marksmen too much value even with few stacks and chose to delay early acquisitions through the price.

The entry lists a cost increase, not a change to the boots’ stack values. If you had planned a purchase at exactly 1,000 gold, that budget is now 100 gold short.

Miss Fortune gets compensation elsewhere

Riot explicitly links Miss Fortune’s buffs in the same patch to the Hubris nerf. Make It Rain (E) rises from 70/100/130/160/190 to 90/120/150/180/210 base damage, with the 120% AP ratio unchanged.

Bullet Time (R) moves from 130% critical-strike damage, plus 0.3% per 1% bonus critical damage, to 145%, plus 0.45% per 1% bonus critical damage. That is a change to its critical-strike damage calculation, not a claim that every wave receives a flat 15% damage increase.
