Ten teams, one title to defend

VALORANT's Game Changers Championship runs from 22 October to 1 November 2026 in São Paulo, with Team Liquid Visa defending the title it won in Seoul. Riot's 16 October announcement confirms ten teams and a double-elimination bracket. There are no matches on 29 October; finals weekend is 30 October–1 November.

Liquid and Shopify Rebellion Gold both return after last year's final. That is a storyline to follow, not a confirmed rematch: the bracket still has to produce the finalists. Riot describes São Paulo as the final standalone Game Changers Championship; this article covers the confirmed 2026 event, not the details of the next competitive system.

When to tune in

Riot lists arena doors at 14:00 BRT and matches at 15:00 BRT (18:00 UTC). São Paulo uses America/Sao_Paulo, UTC−3 throughout this event. Those are the organiser's daily start times, not a promise that every series starts then. Check the official event schedule for individual fixtures and any changes.

The date window includes a rest day. If you are planning a watch party, skip Thursday 29 October and keep Sunday 1 November for the Grand Final. Our calendar entry records the event window and the rest-day exception.

How the bracket changes the stakes

The early rounds are best of three. The Lower Bracket Final and Grand Final are best of five. A first series defeat moves a team into the lower bracket rather than immediately ending its tournament; a second eliminates it.

That makes the side of the bracket essential viewing context. Two teams can play an equally close series with very different consequences: an upper-bracket loser has another route, while a lower-bracket loser is out. The longer final series also give the teams more maps over which to settle the result. These are consequences of the published format, not predictions about any team's map pool.

Riot says teams from the same regional qualifiers are placed on opposite sides of the bracket. That helps create international opening matchups; it does not mean teams from the same region can never meet later.

The confirmed field

The organiser names Team Liquid Visa, Shopify Rebellion Gold, G2 Gozen, Gentle Mates GC, SK Nebula, KRÜ Blaze, Gen.G GC, FENNEL GC, MiBR and Nova Esports GC. We have not assigned seeds, opening opponents or current player rosters without separate verification.

Watch online—or choose the right São Paulo venue

Riot lists official broadcasts on Twitch, YouTube and Kick, alongside participating co-streamers.

The competition is at Riot Games Arena São Paulo, Av. Thomas Edison, 849, Barra Funda. The 30 October–1 November Fan Fest is a separate event at Community Creators Academy, Rua Mergenthaler, 1177, Vila Leopoldina. Riot explicitly says a Fan Fest ticket does not include admission to the Championship arena. Check the organiser's ticket links for availability; we have not verified remaining inventory.
