Revenant will be able to silence nearby enemies again in Apex Legends: Cipher, but the effect is tied to a new upgrade and a tactical landing. Respawn says the Silence upgrade triggers an area pulse when he lands from his leap, silencing enemies it hits for four seconds.
Like Crypto’s drone rework, these changes arrive with Cipher on November 3, 2026, which is still upcoming on Monday morning. Respawn’s October 30 Designer’s Notes explain the redesign ahead of the full patch notes announced for November 2.
A landing effect, not the old projectile
Silence replaces Revenant’s Tactical Cooldown upgrade. It does not replace his leap with the old thrown Silence ability: the new pulse happens when the tactical leap lands, and only enemies hit by it receive the effect.
That distinction changes where the ability matters. The disabling effect is attached to his arrival point, rather than a separate projectile he can throw before committing to a jump.
Respawn is also moving two existing upgrade benefits into his base kit. The tactical cooldown falls by five seconds, while its attack and charge-up timing becomes faster. Those baseline improvements no longer depend on taking the old Tactical Cooldown or Agile Assassin upgrades.
No Escape turns a low-health mark into another leap
The new No Escape upgrade replaces Agile Assassin. It refreshes the tactical when Revenant marks an enemy with Assassin’s Instinct, his passive that marks low-health opponents.
The trigger is the passive mark, not a knock. That gives this upgrade a different purpose from the ultimate-extension option: No Escape supplies another movement ability while a wounded opponent is still in the fight.
Knocks can keep the ultimate running beyond its old cap
Revenant’s ultimate cooldown is being shortened by 30 seconds. Respawn is also removing the limit that prevented its timer from going above 35 seconds; knocks will continue to add five seconds while the ultimate is active.
A separate new upgrade, named Every Lasting in the Designer’s Notes, replaces the ultimate-cooldown upgrade and lets a knock extend the ultimate by ten seconds. The preview does not spell out whether that figure replaces or stacks with the baseline five-second extension, so it should not be advertised as a fifteen-second bonus.
