Going to Worlds 2026? The bag and re-entry rules change between venues

A clear bag accepted in Allen may be too large for Brooklyn. Riot’s event policies also distinguish Swiss-stage re-entry from knockout days.

Pack for your venue, not just your ticket

Worlds 2026 uses different bag and re-entry rules in Allen and Brooklyn. With the Swiss stage beginning on 23 October, the useful pre-trip check is which building—and which stage—your ticket covers.

Riot’s event policy names Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen for Swiss, quarterfinals and semifinals, and Barclays Center in Brooklyn for the 14 November final. These visits are still upcoming; a policy for one venue should not be treated as permission at the other.

Allen: two bag sizes, and re-entry only during Swiss

For the Texas venue, Riot permits small bags under 4.5 × 8.5 inches and medium clear bags under 14 × 14 × 6 inches. The wording is “under”, so avoid assuming that an oversized or borderline bag will be admitted. Prams and buggies are not permitted, and there is no storage service for belongings.

Re-entry with a wristband is permitted from 23–31 October. It is not permitted during the 3–8 November quarterfinals and semifinals. Leaving the arena therefore has different consequences depending on your session.

Guests under 14 must be accompanied by an adult aged 19 or older. Check the organiser’s full policy for the rules that apply to your group before travelling.

Brooklyn: a smaller bag limit and no re-entry

At Barclays Center, bags larger than 10 × 6 × 2 inches, or hard-sided bags, are prohibited. A medium clear bag suitable for Allen can therefore fail the Brooklyn limit. The venue does not offer a bag or coat check, and prams and buggies are also not permitted.

Riot’s policy provides exceptions for medical requirements or special needs and directs guests to arrange accommodations with Barclays Guest Services before attending. Re-entry is not permitted for the final. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or older.

Signs and cameras: two easy mistakes to avoid

Allen permits event-related signs up to 60 × 60 centimetres, including compliant LED signs. Brooklyn’s limit is 11 × 17 inches, and LED signs are not permitted. At both venues, signs must not obstruct other spectators; poles and supports are prohibited, and content restrictions apply.

The camera policy prohibits professional or interchangeable-lens cameras, tripods, gimbals, selfie sticks and recording devices such as GoPros. Personal cellphone recording is allowed unless the event directs otherwise, but that is not permission to livestream: unauthorised streaming and broadcasting are prohibited.

Match the broadcast clock to the right date

Riot lists these broadcast starts—not door-opening times:

  • 23–26 and 31 October: 12:00 CDT in Texas, 17:00 UTC.
  • 28–30 October: 15:00 CDT, 20:00 UTC.
  • 3–8 November: 16:00 CST, 22:00 UTC.
  • 14 November final: 14:00 EST in New York, 19:00 UTC.

The US daylight-saving change falls between the Swiss and knockout stages, so Texas changes from UTC−5 to UTC−6. Use the date-specific conversion, not one offset for the whole tournament. Check your ticket and the official event policies for the complete restrictions and any changes.
