Fortnite Crew will stop releasing monthly outfit packs after December and introduce V-Bucks loyalty tiers on December 5, 2026. Epic’s November 4 announcement keeps the US subscription price at $11.99 per month, while adding XP boosts for members and their squadmates.
The change replaces part of the subscription’s appeal: staying subscribed will build a larger monthly currency allowance, rather than bring a new Crew outfit every month. December’s pack is the last one, and subscribers can receive it throughout December.
Four V-Bucks tiers, based on continuous membership
Epic lists these monthly allowances for the new Crew:
- Core, months 1–2: 1,000 V-Bucks.
- Bronze, months 3–5: 1,200 V-Bucks.
- Silver, months 6–11: 1,400 V-Bucks.
- Gold, month 12 onwards: 1,600 V-Bucks.
The minimum rises from the current 800 to 1,000 V-Bucks. Existing members’ starting tiers will reflect their consecutive subscription time within the previous 12 months; Epic directs subscribers to the new in-game Crew tab on December 5 for their individual tier.
There is also a limited return window. Players who resubscribe December 6–31 can have their most recent continuous subscription period within the past 12 months counted towards their starting tier. The cutoff is December 31, 2026 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time—January 1, 2027 at 04:59 UTC, or 05:59 CET in Stockholm. Returning after that cutoff starts the membership at Core, without credit for earlier subscription periods.
XP bonuses do not stack between Crew members
Crew subscribers will receive 20% extra Fortnite XP. Party members without Crew receive 10% extra XP while playing with them.
Inviting several subscribers does not multiply that party bonus: Epic says Crew boosts do not stack with each other, and neither do the party boosts. A non-subscriber in a squad with multiple Crew members still gets one 10% boost.
Existing Legacy Styles will be unlocked
Epic will grant the remaining Legacy Styles for Crew Pack Outfits, Pickaxes and Back Blings already owned, including for players who are no longer subscribed. Those grants happen in December; resubscribing is not a stated condition for receiving styles on packs already in a player’s Locker.
The Battle Pass, Music Pass, LEGO Pass and Rocket Pass Premium remain included. The OG Pass ends December 5, alongside the conclusion of Chapter 1: OG Season X; Epic places the next era of Fortnite OG in late 2027.
Current subscribers do not need to take action to keep their membership when the changes launch.
